After careful attention to some of the over heating problems Banshees have, we looked closely at the water pump impeller.  The OEM plastic impeller is very prone to failures and will melt if over heated or break simply from age.  Upon careful testing, we determined that all the other aftermarket billet Aluminum impellers on the market actually perform “worse” than the OEM unit.  They are prone to cavitation (poor circulation) at the worse time – when they get hot!  The stainless steel shaft found on all other impellers is actually softer than the OEM shaft and lacks a special lubrication coating used on the OEM shaft.  This means the stainless shafts will actually wear out faster and wear down your water pump seals faster than the OEM design.  Our new design utilizes the stock impeller shaft.  Simply cut away the OEM plastic impeller and press the shaft into the new impeller head.  By using the stock shaft, we are able to not only cut costs to you, but give you a better designed product. Remember also that as you increase the perfomance and horsepower of your bike, you are increasing the demand on the cooling system which will increase the chance of water pump failures.
